Professional Career

I obtained the bachelor’s degree of Medicine with an A from the Central University of Barcelona at the Faculty of Medicine of Reus (Tarragona) in 1988.

Graduated as Gynaecology and Obstetrics Specialist in 1994 at Hospital Casa Maternitat (Barcelona)

Senior Gynaecologist consultant at the Hospital Casa Maternitat in 1995

I was the Prenatal Diagnositc Department responsible at Instituto Marques (Barcelona) between 1996 and 1998.

I was appointed as Senior Fertility consultant at Instituto Marques in 1998.

I signed up as Partner of Instituto Marques in 2000.

In 2004 created one of the first Fertility Departments in Spain that treated foreign patients.

In 2005 was appointed as International Department Director at Instituto Marques

In 2005 developed, in collaboration with Price, Waterhouse, Cooper Ltd, the first Refunding Program contract in Europe. Since then more than 150 couples have joined that program in its different branches (egg donation, IVF, embryo donation)

Between 2005 and 2010 I’ve been managing a group of 7 senior fertility consultants, 6 medical assistants and 12 patient assistants that handled more than 1000 embryo transfers each year to foreign patients.

In February 2010 I left Instituto Marques and created a new partnership and state-of-the-art project called BarcelonaIVF, SLP that opened doors in October 2010. I’m the current Medical Director fo this clinic.
