Dr. Alexander Aslani is one of very few expatriate surgeons to have been granted full membership of SECPRE (Spanish Society of Plastic,Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery), which is an honor only granted under exceptional circumstances to expatriate surgeons.

Dr.Aslani has held various academic consultant positions in university hospitals in the UK, South Africa, Germany,Austria, including a fellowship in craniofacial surgery at Wentworth Hospital, Durban, South Africa.

Dr.Aslani has been attending professor in the Austrian academy for microsurgery, where he trained surgeons to become reconstructive microsurgeons, as well as lecturing professor at PMU Medical school,Salzburg Austria.

Apart from cosmetic surgery Dr.Aslani also has special interest in Reconstructive surgery, especially microsurgery of the breast and head and neck, as well combined body contouring surgery and advanced fat grafting techniques.

Before being appointed as chairman of the Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery in Hospital Quiron Malaga, Dr.Aslani has worked as consultant in a large cosmetic surgery practice in London for many years, performing around 500 cosmetic surgery procedures every year.

He has been in private practice since 2003,parallel to his academic appointments.

Dr.Aslani is reference expert witness of the Colegio de medicos Malaga.

He is a delegate of EBOPRAS, the European Board of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons since 2003.

Apart from Spain, Dr. Aslani is a full member if the national associations of Plastic surgeons in Germany and Austria. He also full member of INTERPLAST, which is an association of Plastic Surgeons who regularly travel to developing countries to operate children free of charge
