Cosmetic Dentistry
Think of the last time you posed for a photograph. Did you flash your «pearly whites» or did you hide your teeth? If the look of your teeth is keeping you from feeling your best, you will be glad to know there are simple solutions. Today, many people benefit from cosmetic dentistry - a wide range of techniques that can enhance almost any smile. Thanks to the improved state of the art technology and materials, cosmetically - enhanced teeth look more natural and last longer than they did in the past. You don't have to settle for teeth that are chipped, stained, crooked or have spaces between them. Skillfully blending science and art can «sculpt» a more attractive, pleasing smile for you! A smile is a powerful way for us to communicate. If we feel self-conscious about our teeth, we may lose the power by not smiling or by covering our mouth when we smile. Even a slight flaw in one of our teeth can detract from an otherwise attractive smile.
Oral Implantology
Implantology is the branch of dentistry which deals with implantation; in other words, the placement of mainly metallic parts (titanium screws) into the jaw bone. The Branemark System was developed in Sweden by a research team led by Prof. P.I. Branemark. He discovered that, when implants made of pure titanium and of a cylindrical design were placed in bone using a controlled surgical technique, the bone would then grow directly onto the surface of the implant. This created a lasting biological bond which is termed osseointegration. From these original observations and many years of development, experiment and clinical trials have led to the proven technical techniques available to patients today.
Pediatric Dentistry
Pediatric dentist are specially trained in techniques and methods that ensure excellent care of children.
Periodontology
The main cause of the loss of teeth in adults is the disease of the periodontiun called periodontitis. Research carried out in the U.S.A. has shown that 3 out of 4 adults suffer from this disease. Although the early diagnosis periodontitis leads to successful treatment, the rate of success of the treatment dramatically reduced when this is not detected early enough. In other words with thorough prevention can we maintain the health of the gingiva.
Endodontics
Endodontics is a branch of Dentistry that deals with the removing of the pump(blood vessels and nerves) and the permanent sealing of the canal. When a tooth becomes infected, the pulp has to be removed, and the root canal is cleaned, disinfected and then sealed with a permanent root filling.
Orthodontics
You already know that braces straighten crooked teeth. But what you may not realise is that orthodontic treatment achieves more than beautiful smiles for most patients. This page briefly explains how and why proper treatment by an orthodontic specialist results in a lifetime of benefits.
The Preventive Dentistry Unit
"The essence of a healthy mouth is one which is free from dental decay and gum disease. Healthy teeth and gums are all important for speech, digestion and to project a confident smile."

About
Nicosia, Cyprus
Nicosia lies roughly at the centre of the island, with a rich history that can be traced back to the Bronze Age. It only became Capital of the island in the 11th century AD. The Lusignans turned it into a magnificent city with a Royal Palace and over fifty churches.
Nicosia today, blends its historic past brilliantly with the bustle of a modern city. The heart of the city, enclosed by 16th century Venetian walls, is dotted with museums, ancient churches and medieval buildings preserving the nostalgic atmosphere of years past. Yet this old heart is split in two, leaving Nicosia the only capital city in the world to remain divided by force. The new Nicosia developed outside the walls became a contemporary, business and cultural centre. Just a few miles away are enchanting places of interest such as Byzantine churches and monasteries, archaeological sites and charming villages.Without a doubt, Nicosia the 1000-year-old capital of Cyprus should be on every visitor's agenda. It lies roughly in the centre of the island; within easy reach of the other towns and a day in Nicosia will be a day well spent.
