In the 1990's, an increasing number of visitors and tourism foundations in Antalya, Kemer, Belek and Side led to the development of this area as a tourism hot-spot. At this time, there were very few local doctors and medical specialists available.
The founders of the Anatolian Hospital began by opening the first private/public health care group catering mainly to tourists. It was called "Özel Kemer Poliklinigi" or Kemer Medical Center. Considering the conditions at the time, the clinic took a major step forward by bringing on board modern medical equipment and technology.
The founders of our medical establishment served not only the local population but also the many tourists staying in our local hotels. With knowledge of foreign languages and medical expertise, their services and contributions ran parallel with the growing tourism industry in these cities.
Specialists in the field created possibilities for more intensive treatment therapies and relations with private insurance companies were established.
With the continuous increase of medical services, the medical supply expanded greatly.
In order to attend to the medical cases of the locals, some of them had to be transferred to Antalya for medical care. The first private hospital "Kemer Anatolian Hospital" was opened in 1997. The hospital immediately attained a high status which is still present today.
This success was shortly followed by the opening of three more hospitals in Belek, Antalya and Side. Antalya had been missing a high quality hospital and this lead to the opening of the first A1 hospital with a capacity of 100 beds in the center of Antalya. Antalya Anatolian Hospital includes modern diagnostic and treatment facilities. Nearly all medical and surgical departments are available in Antalya Hospital.
