Dr. Yusuf Kenan Yalçinbas and Dr. Ersin Erek are experienced staff surgeons in the field of congenital and cardiac surgery. The team has been working together in the last 18 years.
Staff surgeon Dr. Yasemin Mamur is responsible for the intensive care unit management along with operative responsibilities. sDr. Ayse Sarioglu is the head of Pediatric and Adult Cardiology Department.
She is the leading cardiologist in Turkey with strong academic background. Congenital and catheter laboratory is directed by Dr. Arda Saygili.
Catheter device closure of ASD, VSD, PDA and other interventions are routinely performed. Two dedicated cardiac anesthetists, Dr.Banu Soykan and Dr.Ayse Ulukol, are responsible for the anesthesia management in the operating room, catheter laboratory and intensive care unit.
Multidisciplinary approach: Pediatric and adult Cardiac team weekly conferences are held on Wednesdays, where all patient data is collected, evaluated and final analysis is done regarding the best therapy.
Two state-of-the-art operating rooms and intensive care unit with 10 beds (3 open beds for nenonates) are dedicated to congenital and cardiac patients. TEE, ECMO, Biopump, IABP and ultrafiltration/dialysis facilities are available.
All aspects of congenital and heart disease are covered except transplantation program: Neonatal and infant age group (Arterial switch, Senning, Rastelli, Truncus repair, TAPVR repair, AVSD repair, TOF repair, VSD closure, Glenn procedure, ASD closure, PDA ligation, Shunt procedures, pulmonary artery banding, coarctation repair operations).
For Other age groups (Extracardiac Fontan procedure, complex reoperations, conduit replacements, Ross procedure, valve repair and replacements, arrhythmia surgery, left and right atrial maze procedure, ablation and pacing procedures)Less invasive surgery (ASD,VSD closure through mini thoracotomy).
Cumulative experience: More than 5000 congenital and cardiovascular operations have been done with less than 5 % mortality and major morbidity. You are welcome to visit us for expert opinion.
