The Mexican Institute of Infertility is a mulch-disciplinary establishment for men and women experiencing difficulties with reproduction.
The IVF facility offers the most modern treatments in assisted reproductive rechnology (ART) with IVF and laboratory-investigations of andrology and genetics.
Specialties include gynaecology and obstetrics, surgery, urology, andrology, endocrinology, embryology, genetics, biology and anaesthesia, as well as nutrition and counseling.
Making the decision to go to a clinic for assisted reproduction is not easy. The facility usually receives patients (men and women) between 35 and 40 years old who have been trying to conceive for at least three years.
Usually they have already tried traditional methods of controlling the basal temperature, uterine lining and so on but without a positive result.
Pursuing pregnancy in this way (without ART) can sometimes be a long process that unfortunately does not stop the biological clock from ticking or the mother’s age from increasing.
As time passes, it decreases the success rate of achieving pregnancy with a woman’s own oocytes, and therefore can increase the anxiety that couples face.
At the couple’s first visit, their case is assessed by highly skilled professionals in order to form a personalized strategy that addresses the couple’s unique situation.
To do this, the staff collects all relevant information (while aiming not to repeat past tests), analyzes and evaluates their medical history.
ART specialists will aim to discern whether the problem of infertility is of male or female origin. Sometimes there is incompatibility between the two or there are two causes of infertility while in 15% of the cases the cause is unknown.
IVF specialists at the inistiture typically begin by examining both the man and the woman. The examination of the woman is aimed at assessing the function of the ovaries and the anatomical integrity of the reproductive system through rigorous analysis.
For men, a seminograma test is conducted which measures the concentration of sperm, their mobility and morphology and evidence of possible alterations.
The medical team then develops a diagnosis and treatment plan to follow. They also do their best to allay stress and anxiety as they can negatively affect success rates for treatments undergone.

The IMI experience is a friendly, humble and encouraging one. The level of anxiety was high on our part throughout the process...however, the entire team at IMI made tons of effort to help us understand the process and to put us at ease. In our situation, it took more than 1 attempt to lead to a successful pregnancy. The IMI team never gave up on us...rather, they just encouraged us that much more in several helpful ways. I had the most wonderful experience at IMI. Dr. Stetson, Dr. Ruvalcaba, Gisel Soriano and Alejandra Motta and of course along with the rest of staff are absolutely amazing. We went to a couple of clinics here in southern California and we just felt as if we were just another number. The staff at IMI make you feel welcome and are very kind, helpful and friendly. Dr. Stetson has gone above and beyond to help us in every way. He is just an amazing human being. He has always been there for us from the very beginning and he still is. I am 32 years old and this was my first cycle at IVF and I am happy to say, that thank GOD I am 15 weeks pregnant! And of course thanks to Dr. Stetson and Dr. Ruvalcaba! When I started this Journey little did I know I would find a Clinic that would really understand my pains. Dr Stetson you stood and continue to stand by me throughout this process. What a wonderful journey to IMI. What an experience at this clinic. IMI is not only a clinic but is a family. From the Doctors, Nurses, Front Desk Staff, Embryologists, all the technicians, The administrators, to The Driver who picked me up from the Airport to my Hotel and drove me around from the clinic to the pharmacy. What a team of professionals very efficient and exceptionally dedicated to their patients. IMI is the only clinic that i would highly recommend for any woman out there in search of a journey to motherhood. The Team does their best to ensure their patients are comfortable, The doctors will take their time to chart and explain to you what to expect. the emotional support and psychological support is just amazing.
