Surgery
The first step is a detailed consultation with your surgeon, who will discuss with you the different treatment options and combinations available. Recovery
Patients are typically under general anesthesia during this procedure. Bruising and swelling is to be expected, and can be partially eliminated with a cold compress. The patient should avoid any anti-inflammatory medications or medications that thin the blood, such as aspirin.
It takes approximately two weeks to fully recover from the neck lift operation.
Patients should avoid strenuous activity for about 10 days, but it should be safe to return to work in about 5 days.
