About Anatolian Hospital
In the 1990's with the rising number of visitors and tourism foundations in Antalya, Kemer, Belek and Side, a solid infrastructure, beautiful scenery and a natural atmosphere helped make this region a valuable tourism hotspot. During these years, very few local doctors and medical specialists were available, despite the region's desperate need for health care.
The founders of our medical establishment served not only the local population, but also the many tourists staying in our local hotels. With knowledge of foreign languages and medical expertise, their services and contributions ran parallel with the growing tourism industry in these cities. Thus expanding health care as well.
Today's founders of Anatolian Hospital began by opening the first private/public health care group catering mainly to tourists, callied "Özel Kemer Poliklinigi" (Kemer Medical Center).
Considering the conditions at that time, the clinic took a major step forward by bringing on board for the first time modern medical equipment and technology, like ambulance, X-Ray units, the first laboratory, etc.
Specialists in their field created possibilities for more intensive treatment therapies, and relations with private insurance companies were established. With the continuous increase of medical services, the medical supply expanded greatly, yet it still was not sufficient enough to cover the health care demand in tourism. In order to attend to the medical cases of the locals, some of them had to be transferred to Antalya for medical care, which was an eye opener for the partners of Kemer Clinic. With 9 months of precautions, the first private hospital "Kemer Anatolian Hospital" opened in the year 1997 in Kemer. The hospital immediately attained its high status, which is still present today, due to its 24 hour service and high quality care. This success was shortly followed by the opening of three more hospitals in Belek, Antalya and Side. Antalya had been missing a high quality hospital with carefully selected medical equipment, and this lead to the opening of the first A1 hospital with a capacity of 100 beds in the center of Antalya. Antalya Anatolian Hospital includes modern diagnostic and treatment facilities. Nearly all medical and surgical departments are available in Antalya Hospital.

About
Antalya, Turkey
Antalya is in south-west Anatolia, on the Mediterranean Gulf of Antalya, around 244 kilometres (152 mi) from Ankara, 255 kilometres (158 mi) from Adana, 222 kilometres (138 mi) from Izmir, and 300 kilometres (186 mi) from Istanbul.
The Taurus mountain range of southern Anatolia runs parallel to the Mediterranean in an east-west direction, resulting in the formation of narrow coastal plains surrounded by mountains on three sides and the sea on the fourth. Some parts of the coast feature mountains plunging sharply into the sea, forming small natural bays and peninsulas. Antalya is situated on one such plain where the mountains recede from the shore, consisting of two flat areas formed of travertine rock at a mean height of 35 metres (115 ft); the town center is located on the rocky plain closest the coast, with urban sprawl extending to the Kepezüstü Plain further inland.
Tourism
Features include nature, history, and central location on the Turkish riviera; it's airport is one of the busiest on the Mediterranean. Kaleici, the restored historical center of the city -with its hotels, bars, clubs, restaurants, and shopping- retains much of its historical character; the restoration won the Golden Apple Tourism Prize. Antalya Archaeology Museum is a prize-winner.
The city includes sites with traces of Lycian,Pamphylian, and Hellenistic -but mainly Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk and Ottoman- architecture and cultures.
Kaleici, with its narrow cobbled streets of historic Turkish and Greek houses is the old center of Antalya, now mainly hotels, gift shops, and bars. New hotels such as the Sheraton are along the coast above the Konyaalti and Lara beaches.
The tourism boom has brought migrant labour to the city, fueled the growth of a large construction industry and provided transportation and other large-scale infrastructure which has led to Antalya becoming the hub of commerce in this part of Turkey.
