Bariatric Surgery Team
CTG Healthcare's bariatric surgeons are certified by the Turkish Board of Surgery within five years of completion of an accredited residency program in general surgery.
In addition to obtaining the requisite primary technical expertise, our bariatric surgeons acquire an understanding of morbid obesity as a disease and an intimate knowledge of the numerous diseases and conditions induced or aggravated by morbid obesity.
CTG Healthcare's surgeons have acquired skills in patient education and selection and are committed to long-term patient management and follow-up.

The bariatric team at CTG actively works in collaboration with multiple patient care disciplines, such as nutrition, diabetology, psychiatry, pulmonary medicine, orthopaedic surgery, anesthesiology and cardiology.
The operating room required for bariatric surgery procedures has special operating room tables and ancillary equipment that can accommodate patients weighing up to 750 lbs.
Anesthesia for bariatric surgeons are assigned to anesthesiologists specially trained in this area and regularly assigned to bariatric procedures. They are full members of our bariatric surgery team.
Operating room staff are also members of our bariatric surgery team. Recovery Room and ICU staff are experts in immediate post-op care of morbidly obese patients and are aware of the special needs required, particularly ventilatory support.
All facilities conform to the standards maintained by the Turkish Ministry of Health.
