Rattinan Clinic Verified

The Rattinan Clinic was opened in 1999 by an elite team comprising of a bariatric surgeon, plastic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon, an endocrinologist, and a dermatologist to provide all-round services in weight loss surgery, eyelid surgery, liposuction, hair transplant surgery, hormone therapy, and laser skin care. The leading weight loss surgery clinic in Thailand is continually expanding to provide an even wider range of professional medical services.

I had the honor of being a recent patient of Rattinan Clinic. I went in for an in an out surgery but experienced an issue with my breathing due to my smoking of cigarettes and my sleep apnea. The only thing I remembered about my surgery was how many people were in the operating room, and someone is holding my hand. When I woke up the next morning, I noticed three nurses monitoring me and heard they stayed by my side the whole night. I found out later that one nurse held my hand while I had my surgery to provide me some comfort. Also, five doctors, including the owner of the clinic, showed up in my room to make sure I was offered the best care. Two nurses also escorted me from the clinic back to my condo to ensure I was ok since I was traveling alone. Every other day I would return to the clinic, and the nurse would change my bandages and clean my wounds. I was waiting for a bill for all the extra support that was provided that the clinic and myself did not expect, but when I asked how much more did I owe the doctor informed me I didn't owe anything more than what the clinic already quoted me. Coming from the United States of America, I found this to be surprising. The care I received from this clinic exceeded my expectations and exceeded the experience that I have had with any hospital in the United States of America. I found the doctors and nurses at Rattinan Clinic to care more about me and my needs than the money. I can not recommend this clinic enough they are indeed a 5-star clinic....

Gynecomastia surgery, breast gland removal due to pubertal/hormone related gyno. I came from the United States and talked to many doctors in Thailand. I am a firefighter and gyno isn't covered by my insurance, so after searching I chose Rattinan clinic. Even then, I was hesitant to commit to the surgical procedure because of stories of surgery overseas going wrong, but going in person, the ladies working there were incredibly sweet. I could feel their hearts and their caring attitude and it was really the ladies there, who unknowingly reassured me that I was in good hands and so I went with Rattinan clinic. The doctor consultation was thorough and it was clear to me that he was competent in the procedure. They performed an ultrasound showing the breast gland and discussing options. He only advised to perform what was necessary, he was not upselling me in any way. He was caring and I could just tell he was a good man and had my best interest in mind, which I really appreciate. When he told me the price, it was a fraction of the price for the same procedure in the United States. My visa was only good for so long, so they moved their own schedules around and scheduled a time to get me in on a Friday night, so I could recover before my flight home (I'm sure they had better things to do, again thanks). To join the resident doctor, a plastic surgeon came from Bangkok hospital, he specialized in breast surgery, and it was apparent he knew what he was doing right away. All in all, there were 2 doctors and about 5 other staff working on me. I'm still recovering (after one day) but I am very pleased with the results. I can wear a tank top without feeling like my breasts are sticking way out. For the first time in my life, I won't have to wear loose fitting clothes to avoid drawing attention to my breasts as a man. It feels like the start of a new life. You will now find me proudly shirtless at the beach and the pool. (Something I dreaded for my whole life because of the gynecomastia). The only drawback of the surgery is now my stomach sticks out, but with diet and exercise, I can fix that. Diet and exercise could not fix gynecomastia, the glandular tissue is irreversible once developed, so a six-pack emphasizes the overgrown glands even more. Overall I am completely satisfied with Rattinan clinic. I never got to thank the plastic surgeon and the clinic, so here is my thanks. Thank you Rattinan clinic, you are good people and you helped me a lot. I give you a million stars, 5 stars is not enough.

Weight Loss Surgery

It is a well-known fact that exercising and eating well are the best ways to lose weight. However many people have tried and tested those methods for years and still can’t lose the desired weight—which can negatively impact their health and well-being.

The more obese a person is, the more likely he or she to develop health problems. Mild obesity involving a body mass index (BMI) of 30+, poses less threat to health than morbid obesity (BMI 40+). Among the most common health problems that might be experienced by overweight persons are the risk of heart attack, congestive heart failure, sudden cardiac death and chest pain.

High blood pressure is also common in adults who are obese than in those who are at a healthy weight. For patients in this frustrating situation, weight loss surgery can be viable option to reshape their lives.

Weight loss surgery is a serious surgical procedure that aims to reduce the size of the stomach and cut food intake by limiting the amount of calories you can eat and speeding up the digestion of food to prevent a large number of calories being absorbed by the body.

Weight loss surgery is a life-changing experience that can help improve your overall health, social life and self-esteem.

Weight Loss Surgery Treatments

Bariatric surgery (weight-loss surgery) includes a variety of procedures designed to suit each patient’s condition and weight problem. The result is that the amount of food the patient eats is reduced. A factor in the success of any bariatric surgery is that it helps patients to follow a healthier pattern of eating after the surgery.

Gastric bypass surgery, gastric banding surgery and gastric sleeve procedure are the three most widely practiced types of weight loss surgery.

Gastric Bypass Surgery:
The first step of gastric bypass surgery, the size of the stomach is reduced to a volume of about 30 to 50 cc, to ensure the patient experiences a feeling of fullness with smaller portions of food. The second step of gastric bypass surgery the weight loss surgeon staples the smaller, upper part of the stomach, which causes food absorption to be partially reduced.

Gastric Banding Surgery:
In lap-band surgery, the surgeon uses a silicone rubber that loops around the top of the stomach, which reduces the size of the stomach to limit the amount of food that can be eaten. When patients eat, they feel full quickly.

Sleeve Gastrectomy:
Sleeve Gastrectomy uses a keyhole approach, where surgeons place a camera as a visual guide inside the abdomen during the procedure. The purpose of gastric sleeve is to remove the stomach’s left side, leaving the stomach in the shape and side of a banana.

Removing a large portion of the stomach pouch also limits the body’s ability to produce hunger-inducing hormones.

Cost of Weight Loss Surgery

Weight loss surgery is a serious procedure that comes with a high price tag. There are many factors contributing to the cost of weight loss surgery: type of anesthesia used, bariatirc surgeon’s fees, hospital facility and the recovery period.

Traveling for weight loss surgery overseas is a popular trend which has been on the rise among obese patients during the last decade.

It has been estimated that prices for weight-loss surgery are roughly about 20 to 30 percent lower in many countries-like Turkey and Mexico- than in the USA and Western Europe.
