The operating room required for bariatric surgery in Izmir has special operating room tables and ancillary equipment that can accommodate patients weighing up to 750 lbs.
Anesthesia for bariatric surgeons are assigned to anesthesiologists specially trained in this area and regularly assigned to bariatric procedures. They are full members of our bariatric surgery team.
Operating room staff is also members of the bariatric surgery team. Recovery Room and ICU staff is experts in immediate post-op care of morbidly obese patients and are aware of the special needs required, particularly ventilatory support.
