Rattinan Clinic Verified

The Rattinan Clinic was opened in 1999 by an elite team comprising of a bariatric surgeon, plastic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon, an endocrinologist, and a dermatologist to provide all-round services in weight loss surgery, eyelid surgery, liposuction, hair transplant surgery, hormone therapy, and laser skin care. The leading weight loss surgery clinic in Thailand is continually expanding to provide an even wider range of professional medical services.

I had the honor of being a recent patient of Rattinan Clinic. I went in for an in an out surgery but experienced an issue with my breathing due to my smoking of cigarettes and my sleep apnea. The only thing I remembered about my surgery was how many people were in the operating room, and someone is holding my hand. When I woke up the next morning, I noticed three nurses monitoring me and heard they stayed by my side the whole night. I found out later that one nurse held my hand while I had my surgery to provide me some comfort. Also, five doctors, including the owner of the clinic, showed up in my room to make sure I was offered the best care. Two nurses also escorted me from the clinic back to my condo to ensure I was ok since I was traveling alone. Every other day I would return to the clinic, and the nurse would change my bandages and clean my wounds. I was waiting for a bill for all the extra support that was provided that the clinic and myself did not expect, but when I asked how much more did I owe the doctor informed me I didn't owe anything more than what the clinic already quoted me. Coming from the United States of America, I found this to be surprising. The care I received from this clinic exceeded my expectations and exceeded the experience that I have had with any hospital in the United States of America. I found the doctors and nurses at Rattinan Clinic to care more about me and my needs than the money. I can not recommend this clinic enough they are indeed a 5-star clinic....

Gynecomastia surgery, breast gland removal due to pubertal/hormone related gyno. I came from the United States and talked to many doctors in Thailand. I am a firefighter and gyno isn't covered by my insurance, so after searching I chose Rattinan clinic. Even then, I was hesitant to commit to the surgical procedure because of stories of surgery overseas going wrong, but going in person, the ladies working there were incredibly sweet. I could feel their hearts and their caring attitude and it was really the ladies there, who unknowingly reassured me that I was in good hands and so I went with Rattinan clinic. The doctor consultation was thorough and it was clear to me that he was competent in the procedure. They performed an ultrasound showing the breast gland and discussing options. He only advised to perform what was necessary, he was not upselling me in any way. He was caring and I could just tell he was a good man and had my best interest in mind, which I really appreciate. When he told me the price, it was a fraction of the price for the same procedure in the United States. My visa was only good for so long, so they moved their own schedules around and scheduled a time to get me in on a Friday night, so I could recover before my flight home (I'm sure they had better things to do, again thanks). To join the resident doctor, a plastic surgeon came from Bangkok hospital, he specialized in breast surgery, and it was apparent he knew what he was doing right away. All in all, there were 2 doctors and about 5 other staff working on me. I'm still recovering (after one day) but I am very pleased with the results. I can wear a tank top without feeling like my breasts are sticking way out. For the first time in my life, I won't have to wear loose fitting clothes to avoid drawing attention to my breasts as a man. It feels like the start of a new life. You will now find me proudly shirtless at the beach and the pool. (Something I dreaded for my whole life because of the gynecomastia). The only drawback of the surgery is now my stomach sticks out, but with diet and exercise, I can fix that. Diet and exercise could not fix gynecomastia, the glandular tissue is irreversible once developed, so a six-pack emphasizes the overgrown glands even more. Overall I am completely satisfied with Rattinan clinic. I never got to thank the plastic surgeon and the clinic, so here is my thanks. Thank you Rattinan clinic, you are good people and you helped me a lot. I give you a million stars, 5 stars is not enough.

What is Intragastric Balloon?

An intragastric balloon procedure is a non-surgical treatment to help individuals lose weight. It works by allowing patients to feel full after eating a small amount and reduces the stomach’s capacity to hold food. A gastric balloon channels individuals looking for a temporary weight loss solution or if your Body Mass Index (BMI) defines that you need to lose weight before further surgery, such as a gastric bypass.

Although gastric balloon options will help you to lose weight, the best weight loss results are combined with a healthy diet and exercise.

A Good Candidate for Intragastric Balloon

Candidates in general are all obese people except for those with psychiatric problems. Obesity is defined as one whose body mass index exceeds 30.

Treatment with intragastric balloon is already being successfully, the outcome in all patients is a significant amount of weight loss. Clinical results show that two thirds of individuals maintained the weight achieved during treatment with the intragastric balloon, or continue to lose weight after the removal of it.

Intragastric Balloon Procedure

A surgical camera called an endoscope is passed down the esophagus, or gullet, enabling the doctor to visually make adjustments. A small balloon is inserted into the stomach using the camera. Once safely in place, the gastric balloon is inflated by adding a saline solution unless a specific model is filled with air.

Average Duration of Intragastric Balloon: 20-30 minutes. It is performed under a local anesthetic. Patients usually leave the hospital on the same day.
