Dr. Benjamín Villaran is board certified by the Mexican Council of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. At the moment, he is the Head of the Department of Reconstructive, Maxillofacial and Burn Surgery at the Pediatric Hospital for Highly Specialized Care. This is located in the Western Mexico National Medical Center of the Mexican Institute for Social Security.

Dr. Villaran has also been the President of the Plastic and Reconstructive Society of Western Mexico and the President and Founding Member of the College of Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeons of the state of Jalisco.
